Pillow Review - Natural Bedroom Regular Fill Wool Pillow ![]() So, the progression through the pillows continues with the Regular Fill Wool Pillow from The Natural Bedroom, also known as Vivetique. This pillow is a medium loft, so it is a good fit for an average sized person. The filling is 100% Pure Grow Wool, a trademark of Vivetique, and the outer covering is certified organic cotton. As I've said before, I am a rather broad shouldered guy, so when sleeping on my side it tends to take a pillow with a higher loft to support my head. That being said, I would have to say that this pillow - although being just slightly too low in loft - really fit the bill for me for the one month test period. This pillow is quite soft. It seemed to support my head well, although depressed somewhat more than a solid core pillow would, and retained it's shape and height very well throughout the trial period. The most noticable difference in this pillow from others I had tried (cotton, buckwheat) is that the pillow seemed to "breath" better. In fact, I can only describe the feeling of it as being "fresh". It picked up no order, even though I spent a week REALLY sick, and maintained its freshness throughout the month very well. At no time did I feel like I was sleeping on a dirty pillow. Of course, if you have read the "Washington Post" recently (they did an article about pillows), you'll know that wool and natural rubber/latex pillows stay the cleanest over time. While I have moved on to the next pillow, as of last night, I believe that this pillow is definately a great one to consider if you are looking for average loft, long term cleanliness, and a high degree of softness in your pillow. Until next time! 2008-04-02 23:13:30 GMT
